1. The influence of scale on the cooling capacity of cooling system. Scale has a great influence on the use of copper tube, which directly changes the working temperature of copper tube. The composition analysis of copper pipe scale shows that the formation of scale is mainly composed of insoluble salts (CaCO3, CaSO4) and oxide precipitation (which may also contain other metal cations and impurities). With the increase of cooling water temperature, the salts in the water gradually exceed the saturation limit and precipitate to form scale with poor thermal conductivity. The scale deposition on the inner wall of the coil will reduce the cross-sectional area of the water channel, block the pipe, increase the resistance of water circulation, and hinder the normal heat exchange. Because the thermal conductivity of the scale is only 0.464 ~ 0.8W / (k), which is far less than the thermal conductivity of the copper tube 320W / (k), the heat exchange rate is greatly reduced, and the service life of the induction furnace is reduced. At the same time, the heat flow distribution of the copper tube is different, so the thickness of the scale is different everywhere If the local temperature of copper tube is too high and the scale is too thick, the local overheating phenomenon will appear, and the coil, water cable will be burned, and even lead to electrical leakage, short circuit and other serious safety accidents.

2. The scale on the inner wall of induction furnace coil is an insulating layer. When the scale thickness is 0.5 ~ 4mm, the comprehensive heat transfer coefficient is 22% ~ 70% lower than that without scale. When the local temperature is high, there is a risk of burning the coil and water cable, so corresponding measures must be taken to remove the scale.
